On __________ (date) the sum of $_____________, has been received from the Buyer in consideration for the purchase of a cat/kitten as described above. The Buyer accepts full legal, custodial and financial responsibility for said cat/kitten and will provide properly for its welfare. Buyer agrees to keep said cat/kitten in a clean and pleasant environment and provide said cat/kitten with companionship, proper nutrition, health care, and basic medical care and any other usual procedures necessary to assure good health for the rest of said cat/kitten's natural life.
BUYER AGREES TO THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS OF SALE:
1. Seller agrees to provide registration papers for this cat/kitten upon receipt of a veterinarian’s certificate of neutering or spaying.
2. This cat/kitten will be kept indoors and never allowed to roam outside.
3. Cat/kitten sold as a pet will be neutered or spayed by 8 months of age. Registration slip will be provided to Buyer upon veterinarian certification of neuter/spay.
4. This cat/kitten will NOT be sold, leased or given away; or sold to any pet shop or research laboratory.
5. If this cat/kitten is found to be neglected or mistreated, Buyer will surrender said cat/kitten to Seller unconditionally.
6. This cat/kitten will NOT be de-clawed or tendons clipped to prevent use of claws.
7. Breeder males will not be used for outside stud service.
HEALTH GUARANTEE
The cat/kitten is guaranteed to be of sound health upon arrival. For common, non-life threatening illnesses (i.e., URI) it is guaranteed for 7 days from time of purchase or Seller will reimburse up to $50 in veterinary fees upon receipt of vet diagnosis and bill. If, within 6 months, it is found to be medically deficient with an untreatable or life-threatening problem, or dies, it will be replaced with another kitten/cat of equal value as soon as possible. The Buyer must provide a veterinary certification of illness or death. The Buyer will provide immediate veterinary care to any cat/kitten showing signs of illness or distress. Failure to do so will render any guarantee null and void. Under no circumstances is a cat/kitten to be euthanized prior to notification by the Buyer to the Seller.
This cat/kitten is guaranteed against congenital defects for one year. Should the cat die within that time as a direct result of a congenital defect, the cat will be replaced ONLY if a vet’s certificate is provided as proof of cause of death. A replacement will be made with a cat of comparable quality and value, as available, at the discretion of the breeder.
This contract is legally binding on the buyer(s) and seller in this transaction and is non-transferable to other parties.
RETURN GUARANTEE
If an adult pet cat is found to be unsuitable or does not adjust to the buyer's home, it can be returned with 2 months for a full refund of the adoption fee. If a kitten (4 months or under) is found to be unsuitable or does not adjust to the buyer's home, it may be returned within 30 days of purchase for a full refund. After 30 days and up to 7 months of age, the kitten may be returned for 1/2 the purchase price. Any cat/kitten returned for these reasons MUST be in sound health with no fleas, ticks, earmites or fungus. Buyer agrees to have the cat/kitten examined by a veterinarian within 72 hours before return and a health certificate provided to the seller.
